Michele Liew is a Certified Athletic Therapist with the Canadian Athletic Therapist Association. Michele graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Therapy from University of Connecticut, Storrs, CT. She went on to further her clinical experiences at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL where she earned a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine with a residency in Sports Biomechanics and research interest in 3D Golf Biomechanics. She continued her studies in sports medicine in studying the relationship between functional movements, injury prevention and performance enhancement. Her interest in 3D golf biomechanics also led her to working with the University NCAA Division 1 golf team, NCCGA golf team and also LPGA players.
She has worked in multidisciplinary setting in orthopedic and sports medicine clinics working with general population as well as athletes of all ages and levels. She has successfully treated and managed many different conditions from an acute sports injury to chronic pain management. In addition to golf, Michele has also been trained in Gait & Running mechanics analysis, Jumping mechanics analysis & ACL injury prevention program as well as concussion baseline testing and management. This could be beneficial in creating a multisport athlete, with corrective exercise and injury prevention program designed based on assessments results to help you enhance your performance and enjoyment in physical activity for you. On the other hand, Michele also worked with athletes and clients on sports nutrition program guidance, designing a nutrition guide program for you based on your individual needs and goal.
